Five builders per market, not five hundred. Each profile carries its sources, a verification status and a last-verified date — and leaves unconfirmed fields visibly empty.

What is in this directory

At full national coverage this directory will hold up to 95 builder profiles — five in each of the 19 Canadian markets covered. It is deliberately small. A profile is only worth publishing if it can be researched properly and kept current, and that ceiling is what sets the number.

How this list was made

Selections are limited to five builders per market on purpose. Positions are editorial, assessed against thirteen published criteria, and reviewed at least annually. No builder can buy inclusion or a ranking position. Sponsored placement exists, is sold separately, and is labelled wherever it appears.

A builder’s absence from a list means we have not published research on them — most often because we have not researched them yet. It is not a judgement about their work.
