Privacy policy
Short, because we collect very little. Nothing is sold, nothing is distributed to a panel of builders, and you can have it deleted by asking.
What we do and do not do
- We collect what you type into a form, and nothing else that identifies you.
- We never sell your information. Not to builders, not to lead brokers, not to anyone.
- We do not distribute your details to multiple builders. An introduction happens when you ask for that specific introduction.
- We do not add you to a mailing list as a side effect of contacting us.
- You can have your information deleted by emailing hello@customluxuryhomebuilders.ca.
What we collect
Only what you submit through a form on this site: your name, email address, and optionally your phone number, preferred contact method, build location, land ownership status, budget range, timeline, home size, style preference, builder interest and any message you write. Builder applications additionally collect company information and any files you attach.
Forms include a hidden field intended to catch automated submissions. If you are a person, you will never see or fill it.
What we do not collect
This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies, runs no third-party analytics scripts, embeds no social media trackers, and loads no external fonts or images. There is no cookie banner because there is nothing to consent to. Your browser session stores your builder comparison selection locally on your own device; it is never transmitted to us.
Our hosting provider (Cloudflare Pages) processes standard server request information — IP address, user agent, requested URL — as part of delivering the site and protecting it from abuse. We do not use that information to build a profile of you.
Why we collect it
- To reply to your enquiry.
- To make an introduction you have specifically asked for.
- To assess a builder application.
- To investigate a correction request.
- To limit automated abuse of the forms.
Consent
Every form requires you to tick a consent box that is not pre-ticked, and the submit button stays disabled until you do. Under Canadian privacy law consent has to be meaningful and specific, and a pre-ticked box is neither. You can withdraw consent at any time by emailing us.
Who we share it with
- A specific builder, when you have asked to be introduced to that builder. Never otherwise, and never to more than the ones you named.
- A specific professional — a real estate, construction-financing, architectural or design professional — when you have asked for that introduction. Where compensation arises from the referral, it is disclosed before the introduction is made.
- Service providers who process messages on our behalf, such as our email delivery provider and hosting platform, under their own privacy terms.
We do not sell, rent, trade or otherwise transfer your information to anyone else.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are retained for as long as needed to handle them and for a reasonable period afterward, in case you come back. Builder applications are retained while the market selection they relate to is current. You can ask us to delete your information sooner, and we will.
Your rights
Under Canadian privacy legislation you can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, ask for it to be deleted, and withdraw your consent to being contacted. Email hello@customluxuryhomebuilders.ca and we will act on it.
If you are not satisfied with how we have handled a privacy concern, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, or the privacy commissioner of your province.
Security
Form submissions are transmitted over TLS. We keep the amount of personal information we hold deliberately small, which is the most effective security measure available to a site of this kind.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we will update the reviewed date below. Nothing here is edited to be retroactively broader without saying so.
