It does not claim a match, score your compatibility, or tell you which builder to hire.
The honest version of a matching tool
Every directory in this category has a matching quiz, and almost all of them return a confident answer. That confidence is manufactured. Genuine matching would require verified structured data about each builder’s capacity, current workload, client-fit history and communication style — and even with all of that, the output would be a hypothesis rather than a match.
What a short questionnaire genuinely can do is establish which discipline your project belongs to. That is worth a great deal, because the biggest mistake buyers make is shortlisting builders who do excellent work in a segment their project is not in. An outstanding infill builder is the wrong answer for an unserviced acreage, and no amount of general reputation changes that.
So the tool does the part it can do honestly, shows its reasoning, and stops there. The rest is verification and reference calls, which cannot be automated and should not be.
About this tool
Is this a matching algorithm?
No, and it deliberately is not one. It maps your answers to a segment of the market using rules you can read, then shows which editorial positions cover that segment. It never claims a match, produces a compatibility percentage, or tells you which builder is right for you — a nine-question form does not know enough about a two-year construction relationship to assert that.
What happens to my answers?
Nothing, unless you choose to send them. The questionnaire runs entirely in your browser and nothing leaves it until you fill in the contact form at the end and submit. Abandon at question four and we never see anything.
Will my details go to multiple builders?
No. We are not a lead broker and we do not distribute your details to a panel of builders who then compete for you. An introduction happens when you ask for that specific introduction.
Does it cost anything?
No. There is no fee to buyers for the research, the tools or an introduction.
What if I am building somewhere you do not cover?
The questionnaire will say so rather than improvising. The guides on process, contracts, costs and land due diligence still apply nationally, and we will point you at them.
